I really want to get one of the printers that have the big bottles. I've noticed that canon, epson and hp all have options. What is the experience of the group with those brands, or do you have another recommendation for me to check out?
I have an Epson F170 for sublimation printing and it has worked well. I like having refillable ink. I have had no issues with it at all.
I am a card maker. We bought an Epson so I could print more without breaking the bank, and the prints are okay. But after seeing a friends card where she used printed patterned paper, I am thinking about a color laser printer. I loved the results of the laser print I saw on my friends card. Crisp and it had a nice finish, almost a shine but not glossy. She said the price is very reasonable (about the same as an Epson) and she buys new cartridges about every two years. She prints quite often. You might want to add a color laser printer to your options!
I started with the Epson 2800 as it's a great printer for a reasonable price. It's easy to use and fill. The colors of my projects were amazing for the most part(especially when I put it on the right settings).
To add a bit more info - I do mainly cards and stickers so no need for sublimation presently. Would that change the answer?
i HAVE A EPSON 15000 WOULD not trade it . does all my sublimation from ER to shirts , wind spinners 40oz tumblers and more love it
I have 2 epson tanks - one for regular printing (model 2760) and one for sublimation (model 2800) and I love both. My mom just got an hp tank 6000 and I prefer my spoons
I have an Epson 2760 that I use specifically for sublimation and I love it. I've owned it for a few years ad have only refilled the ink once! One very important thing to remember when using sublimation ink... use it at least every few weeks, even if it's to print something on regular paper that you won't use. It keeps the sublimation ink from plugging the print heads. That is a nightmare to fix both in ink useage and time!
I also have an Epson 2800 for regular ink and I love it as well. Both have amazing quality. They're easy to use, refill and fix minor issues like paper jams, print issues, etc.
I just got a HP Smart Tank with the all in plan from HP. I love this printer. It is so fast at printing. HP says it will get approximately 6000 per fill. It is a thermal inkjet that uses dye. I just love it.
